Google automatically delivers ads that match the content or audience of your website. We do this in several ways:
- Contextual targeting
Our technology takes into account factors such as keyword analysis, word frequency, font size and the overall structure of links on the web to determine the theme of your site and precisely match Google ads to each page of your site.
- Placement targeting
With placement targeting, advertisers choose specific ad placements or subsections of publisher sites where they want to place their ads. Placement-targeted ads may not be strictly related to the content of the page, but have been personally selected by advertisers who have determined that there is a link between the products and services they offer and the interests of users.
- Personalized targeting
Personalized advertising allows advertisers to reach users based on their interests and demographic characteristics (such as sports enthusiasts) and other criteria. To opt out of personalized advertising, users may change their Ad Settings accordingly .Reporting on personalized targeting type may include contextual targeting if user data (e.g. cookie ID) is not available. If you select ' Non-Personalized Ads' on the EU User Consent page , your ads may still appear under the 'Personalized' targeting type even if your data is not being used.

wide advertising allows advertisers to target all sites in the AdSense network, except for explicitly excluded sites, based on available inventory.
