You open a website because you want to read an interesting article. Before you can see anything, however, it prompts you to turn on notifications. Sometimes pages are really bothersome in this regard , and can even refuse to show the content until you give your consent. When you give in, that’s where it begins: sometimes a flood of notifications can freeze your computer!

How to remove notifications in Google Chrome

  • Click the menu icon (the three dots in the top right corner of the browser).
  • Select Settings .
  • Scroll to the bottom of the open page and click the Advanced button .
  • Select Site Settings .
  • Open Notifications .
  • In the Allow section, click the three dots icon next to the address of the website from which you don’t want to receive notifications.
  • Select Block .

How to remove notifications in Firefox

  • Click on the menu icon (three horizontal lines in the upper right corner of the browser).
  • Choose Options .
  • In the menu on the left, click Privacy & Security .
  • Scroll down to the Permissions section .
  • Next to Notifications, click the Settings… button .
    • To turn off all notifications, click the Remove All Sites button below the list of pages.
    • To block notifications from a specific website, click Allow  next to their address bar and select Block from the drop-down list .

  • Pull down the Safari menu  and select Preferences .

  • Click Notifications.
    • To disable all notifications, press Cmd + A (Ctrl + A for Windows) and then delete them all at once by clicking the button at the bottom of the page.

    • To block a certain website from sending notifications, select it in the list and deactivate its Notifications using the slider.

How to completely disable browser notification
